Aidan Ainsworth

Hailing from Knoxville, TN, Aidan is a Sophomore at Bearden High School and plays for the Bulldogs when he’s not on the field for One Knox.

Aidan enjoys playing with his team due to the supportive environment. You can make mistakes, learn from them, become a better player and the rest of the team is not mad at you for it.

Aidan’s favorite memory is clinching the spot in the National Tournament.

To him, going to Nationals means their hard work has paid of. It is validation that they are a good team.

Aidan’s goals include getting a scholarship to college and playing soccer at the D1 level.

Anthoni “AJ” Reina Padilla

A sophomore at Fulton High School, AJ has always loved playing soccer. He chose to play for One Knox because the players and coaches felt like a perfect fit. And it has proven to be true, as he feels like the coaches and teammates are like family in a short amount of time.

His favorite memory was scoring in the TUSC game in the regional play-offs and ultimately beating them to earn the berth to the National Tournament.

Going to Nationals, “means a lot. It’s a step closer to finishing the goal we set in the beginning of the season.

AJ’s goals is to be able to recover from injury (he tore his ACL) and be able to share the field with my teammates. He plans to pursue soccer and play the game at the professional level.

Cameron Sheppard

From New Market, Cameron “Cam” attends Berean Christian School.

Cam chose One Knox because, “it’s the best soccer club in the state.” Cameron enjoys the coaching staff and the environment.

His favorite memory? Beating TUSC and “getting them back.”

What does going to Nationals mean to Cam? A lot of training and excitement!

Drayton Keehn

Drayton, a sophomore at Oak Ridge High School, plays as an Oak Ridge Wildcat when not on the field for One Knox. He plays for One Knox because it offers incredible opportunities for players along with amazing friends and community.

Drayton loves the comradery of his team saying everyone has one another’s back. We win as a team and we lose as a team.

Drayton’s favorite memory of this past year was winning the regional tournament sending the team to Nationals. “The last game was a nail biter 0-0 and it made winning a much greater feeling.”

Drayton adds, “Going to Nationals to me represents the team’s perseverance and grit because it was our first year as team together so it has a great sense of accomplishment.”

Drayton’s goals are “of course to win Nationals” but beyond that attend college to get a good education and maybe play soccer. Soccer has always been a passion of his and he’d love to continue it in the future.

Dreyton Long

From Maryville, Dreyton plays for Maryville High School when he’s not on the pitch for One Knox.

Dreyton chose One Knox because he knew the coaches and players would push him to become a better player. Although the players may push him to be better, they are like a second family to him. They are always supporting him on and off the field and has his back during the games.

HIs favorite memory "is “definitely the last game of the season when we finally knew that we would be going to Colorado in the summer.” Going to Nationals means a lot because of the good competition we will be playing against and the scouts that are watching those games. He’s also looking forward to having a vacation in Colorado with his teammates.

My goal while I’m at One Knox is to continue to grow as a player, as a person, and a teammate. I also hope to win DI state league one day.

Edwin Denic

From Knoxville, Edwin is a sophomore at Farragut High School.

Edwin chose to play for One Knox because it was the first professional academy in Knoxville and he wanted to be a part of it. He likes how well the team gets along and acts as a family.

Favorite memory of the season? The moment we qualified for Nationals. Going to Nationals is a very special to him and is a huge achievement.

Edwin’s goals are to continue playing soccer in college and hopefully pursue a career in the sport. Also to pay back my parents for everything they have sacrificed for me.

Ethan Yeow

A sophomore from Knoxville, Ethan plays for Bearden High School when not playing for One Knox. He chose One Knox because the culture and community are the best out of any soccer clubs in Tennessee.

Ethan said he loves his team because of the family they built despite only being together for a year. And how competitive they are.

His favorite memory? “Beating TUSC, as this was a game our team was anticipating for, for along time.”

Going to Nationals means to Ethan that there is another step to accomplish. Our goal is not finished. We are preparing to win!

Ethan’s goals are to go to Nationals and have a good time. But also to work hard and win it!

Isaac Hembree

Hailing from Knoxville, Isaac serves as a goalkeeper for One Knox and for Bearden High School. Isaac loves to play for One Knox due to the community from both his coaches and his teammates. The work ethic his teammates show each practice and game inspires him. Hembree values the support they give one another both on and off the field.

His favorite memory this season was when Musa scored a last minute goal against UFA Metro to tie the game.

HIs goals are to play soccer at the highest level he can and to receive a higher education.

Going to Nationals “means to me that our hard work is paying off and that we have a great opportunity to do something amazing in our first year as a team.”

A junior at West High School, Kyle plays attacking Mid for One Knox.

Laurent Igiraneza

Hailing from Tanzania, Laurent now lives in Knoxville and is a sophomore at Austin East. Laurent plays for One Knox, because “I have the best two coaches ever!” He also loves the opportunities, and the pathway One Knox offers him.

Laurent also attributes his teammates for being the player he is as they always push him to work harder.

Laurent’s favorite memory of the season is beating Tennessee United. “It felt so good!”

Going to Nationals means the world to him because his team has worked so hard. We deserve to be there.

His goals? To win Nationals.

Mark James Howard

A Junior at Seymour High School, Mark James plays attacking mid for both high school and One Knox. When asked about why he likes One Knox, he said, “I think it’s the best club around with the opportunities and the culture.”

As far as the team, Mark James likes that the family they have created although they have only known each other for less than one year.

His favorite memory? Beating TUSC the second time.

Going to Nationals means, “the opportunity to complete the goal that we had at the beginning of the season.”

Mark James’s goals are to win nationals. He plans to play professional soccer and make a career out of it.

Hailing from Liberia, Musa moved to Knoxville with his family. He plays with West High School when he’s not playing with One Knox.

Nathan Henderson

Narthan, a sophomore at Farragut High School, loves playing for One Knox because of all his teammates. “I love how we all connect with each other on and off the field. “ One of his favorite memories this season is the night the team beat the Lobos in State League play.

Nathan’s goal is to be the best leader and player that he can be.

“Going to Nationals to me just means there’s another chance for our team to prove what we know we can do.”
